One Group Solutions were engaged by our client to carry out two phases of Licenced asbestos removal prior to demolition works at Felixstowe holiday village.

Firstly, we were consulted to establish a scope for the best options available to the client, in terms of financial performance and timescale.

Secondly, we were engaged in carrying out the licenced works on site. These included the safe removal and disposal of Asbestos Insulation Board to a number of areas across multiple buildings. All works undertaken were fully enclosed with the use of negative pressure units and full decontamination procedures applied. Some ACM’s were located at high level so the need for fixed scaffolding was included in the scope to ensure the correct and safe working method was available.

We had to ensure that our works did not clash with those working around us. To this end we had onsite project management to make sure that we achieved the outcome that our client desired.

During the project One group solutions were visited by the HSE and exceeded their expected level of control and COVID-19 preparedness. We were later also Audited by ARCA, the governing body for Asbestos removal, and scored an A grade Audit. Works were completed ahead of schedule with a boost to the overall site programmes.
